Brighter is better while the price remains nice — those are the driving forces behind the introduction of new IP50 and IP68 High Intensity Area Lights from Banner Engineering Corp. The new Area Lights are part of Banner's vision sensors and lighting product division and offer significantly brighter illumination, a longer range, and a more even light pattern when compared to the previous generation of the same light all without a price increase.
 

Banner's new Area Lights are designed to accommodate PresencePLUS or other machine vision cameras and are available in four different visible colors which are red, blue, white, or green — as well as infrared. Five extremely bright LEDs are used for illumination of targets ranging from 0.10 to 3 meters from the area light. Fixed and adjustable intensity models are available, making them a lighting solution for nearly any machine vision sensing environment. The bodies are maintenance-free and feature rugged construction for long-lasting durability. The IP68 model is available in either a nickel-plated or stainless steel housing, while clear acrylic, clear diffusing acrylic, or clear glass may be selected for the window material. The IP50 model is best suited for use in dry environments, while the IP68 model is ideal for use in harsh washdown settings such as the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and medical, and material handling industries.
