Aligned, intuitive and enlarged – New ComLynx Weblogger Software

Aligned design and layout, Master Weblogger functionality and comprehensive notification possibilities are some of the new features of the updated ComLynx Weblogger software.

Ease of use of primary importance

When using a product from Danfoss Solar Inverters it must be easy and intuitive. Much emphasis is therefore placed on usability and simplicity both before and during the development of new user interfaces. The logger range is no exception. The layout of the ComLynx Weblogger software is consequently aligned with the other user interfaces found at Danfoss Solar Inverters (the TripleLynx WebServer and the LynxPlanner).

New menus, restructuring and alignment of design

The new up to date user interface has extended user levels and the possibility to deactivate public access to web pages. It additionally provides an easy overview of reports/graphs with several sorting and filtering options, e.g. on group level.

It is possible to upload all data via ftp to any ftp server. The upload can happen at will or as a scheduled task. Other optionally automated procedures include software updates or notifications, which can be set up to suit the individual.

Performance graphs and reimbursement figures

To aid the management of the PV system, graphs of performance ratio and normalized monthly yield (kWh per kWp) are available. A prerequisite for the calculation of the performance ratio are values of irradiation levels. However, as each ComLynx Weblogger can handle sensor input from up to 10 individually configurable sensor interface boxes or TripleLynx inverters, very detailed system performance figures are obtainable.

Should the performance ratio fall below a specified limit, extensive notification options are available and by entering the reimbursement values from the utility company updated income figures are calculated based on production figures to date. All providing full control of the investment.

Master Weblogger functionality

Having a single point of entry into an inverter network is advantageous when managing large PV power plants. The ComLynx Webloggger provides Plant control functionality of up to 500 inverters. As 50 inverters can be connected to one ComLynx Weblogger a 500 inverter network will require 11 web loggers – 10 loggers in the network and one to master them all. All values from each web logger/inverter network are collected in the master web logger, which then becomes the single point of entry needed.

The ComLynx Weblogger additionally supports large displays from HvG, Rico and Schneider for plants of all sizes and it has OPC server functionality compatible with SCADA systems.

Inverter network trouble shooting made easier – Pin Point notification

Each recipient of e-mail notifications from the ComLynx Weblogger has a unique identity making differentiated notification possible. The configuration possibilities of critical limits, critical values and recipient details are extensive and all configurations can be pre-tested prior to commissioning.

The notification message will contain detailed data on the inverter reporting the deviation, such as inverter name and group, making identification easy and pin point action possible.

Making data collection and management manageable

The new ComLynx Weblogger makes PV system management more expedient and the ample configuration possibilities facilitate that the right information is provided to the right people.
