Danfoss launches DHP-S heat pump for larger homes and light commercial buildings

Compact, flexible and efficient heat pump. Keeps costs low and performance high.

The market for large homes and light commercial buildings is often under-serviced by heat pump producers, who tend to focus on small residential systems or large, complex solutions for large buildings. Owners and operators of these building “in the middle” have unique needs, and require just the right mix of high performance, ease of installation and operation and low running costs.

To meet these needs, Danfoss is pleased to introduce the DHP-S, a compact, flexible and efficient heat pump designed exclusively for use in larger homes and light commercial buildings.

The DHP-S offers lots of great features – including a “set and forget” control system, a built-in de-super heater, the ability to control two heating systems simultaneously, and options for online control and even cooling production. And it makes it easy to upgrade traditional fossil fuel systems to a more sustainable solution.

Lars Bergen, Marketing Director at Danfoss, says this is exactly what kindergartens, multi-family homes, shops and offices are looking for. “Building owners and managers in the light commercial sector treasure the capabilities and performance of our heat pumps, but they don’t need the advanced control system found in our large commercial pumps. By equipping the DHP-S with a simplified, easy-to-use control system, we’re able to give light commercial customers exactly what they’re looking for, while also keeping costs down,” Mr Bergen explains.

Easy to dimension and integrate into existing systems, the new DHP-S is also good news for installers – who can now offer light commercial customers a solution that’s tailored to fit their exact needs. “The DHP-S fills a gap in the market, and that means new business opportunities for installers,” Mr Bergen concludes.

The Danfoss DHP-S heat pump is available in 20kW, 26kW, 35kW and 42kW versions.
