Proximity sensors flush in an 8 mm slot

The proximity sensor SIES-8M from Festo is the only inductive sensor on the market which fits flush into an 8 mm slot. This means it requires less space, is simple to install and saves time. The sensor can be used to detect all the positions of an electric drive.

The sensor can also be used to detect the position of the fingers of pneumatic grippers and of metallic workpieces. Its patented twin LEDs which light up when the sensor is attenuated mean that one LED is always visible, no matter from which direction the sensor is approached.

The sensor saves space by disappearing completely into the slot. Thanks to this slot mounting, the proximity sensor can be installed faster and more reliably than comparable externally mounted sensors. It is held securely in the 8 mm slot by a robust but simple central mounting. This also protects it against mechanical factors. Cables are available in standard lengths of between 0.3 and 10 m for use with drives of different sizes.
