This unique sensor is designed to measure the maximum force prior to the automatic reversal of power sliding doors and automatic lift gates. An increasing feature in many mini-vans and crossover sport vehicles, this sensor helps suppliers monitor these closing forces to insure they keep below the FMVSS levels and prevent accidental occupant trapping or injury. The sensor is secured in place in the door path during automatic closure, and can be used in repeated cycling without operator support. All sensors produced by SDI include an ISO-17025 accredited calibration certificate.
