IDENT Control has a well-deserved reputation for being one of the easiest to use RFID systems in the industry. IDENT Control supports all major industrial networks (like Ethernet, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, Interbus) and can read hundreds of ISO standard tags/ transponders. Many of our customers use the Ethernet/IP protocol and have one PLC talking to as many as four heads on the same controller.

Some applications require only one RFID head for each PLC. Some of our customers have thought that with this setup, IDENT Control may not be the right solution for their application. However, this may not be the case, and you should take a closer look at IDENT Control.

Using messaging, it is easy to have four PLCs connected to one or more of the heads on the controller. This enables efficient use of all the heads without having to buy an RFID system for each PLC on the plant floor:
