The ProLinx Wireless ASCII Generic Serial Gateway creates a powerful wireless connection between ASCII input devices. The module provides one ASCII configurable serial port.

The PWP modules offer one-to-one or one-to-many interconnect scenarios. Data is exchanged between devices and/or networks using a shared common database and an efficient but powerful wireless protocol. This common database provides the "backbone" communications for various field devices using different networks.

The ASCII protocol driver permits the module to interface to many ASCII devices. Each ASCII port on the module is configurable to send and/or receive ASCII strings, each supporting its own individual serial network.

Product Applications
The WA-ASCII module is the ideal solution for the many applications where wireless connectivity can be used to integrate an ASCII generic serial input device into a system. Applications for the module are found in most industries, including
