For more precise motion applications, GE Fanuc offers the VersaMotion line of servo amplifiers and motors. The VersaMotion family of servo amplifiers, ranging in power rating from 100 W to 3 kW and a continuous torque range from 0.3 Nm to 19.1 Nm (2.7 to 169 in-lb), offers a cost effective solution for a broad range of motion applications. The VersaMotion amplifiers have many user options that can be configured using the VersaMotion software tool included in the Proficy Logic Developer software.

Product Highlights
These versatile amplifiers support simple stand-alone positioning capability using up to 8 stored motion profiles or can be connected to any motion controller using an analog or pulse command interface. A built-in touchpad and display provides convenient access to configuration parameters and system information. The serial interface supports multi-drop system configurations and Modbus ASCII or RTU communication protocol that can be used to change the stored positions or system configuration allowing for greater application flexibility.

The VersaMotion family of servo motors offers high servo performance in a compact package. The motors range from 100 W to 3 kW with continuous torque ratings from 0.3 Nm to 9.5 Nm. All motors have metric mounting configurations and include a shaft key and oil seal. VersaMotion motors have encoder feedback with a quadrature resolution of 10,000 counts per motor revolution. A 24 VDC holding brake option is available for vertical axes or applications that need to hold position during power loss. Motors are matched with the VersaMotion amplifiers of the same power rating.
