BALDOR - DC Brushless Adjustable Speed BMC-Series

Baldor’s BMC-series of controls now provides designers the advantages and benefits of brushless technology for adjustable speed applications– these include quieter operation, less maintenance, tight speed regulation and a more efficient design. Adjustable speed applications such as door openers, mixers, conveyors, pumps, and many others can now make efficient use of brushless technology.

The BMC-series is simple to use without programming – adjustments are factory set and these will work for the majority of applications – just install and run. For those who wish to customize for their machine, this is easy via the user trim-pots and jumpers – max rpm, acceleration, input signal scaling, etc.

Baldor’s brushless motor control is available from ¼ HP to 3 HP and will accept either 115, 208, or 230 Vac input voltage. The BMC includes protection features such as: RMS current, short circuit, electronic inrush, under-voltage & over-voltage, motor overload, MOV transient, and comes protected in a finger safe IP20 package.

Features:

• Simple to operate – no programming necessary – trim-pots factory set for most applications
• Industry standard input speed command (+/- 10 Vdc) or potentiometer input for speed command
• Signal isolation – all signal, speed reference, and Hall sensor connections are isolated from the AC line
• Tight speed control accuracy – better than 0.5% with load and line – provides stable performance
• 200% continuous overload capability for 3 seconds
• Wide speed range
• Reliable Hall sensor feedback & fully protected for application reliability
• Voltage doubling allows 320 volt motors to be used on drive with 115 Vac line input
• Industry standard mounting dimensions
• Diagnostic LED’s
• Finger safe cover – meets IP20 standard
• UL/CE/cUL and ROHS compliant
