Full Metal Inductive Sensors for Heavy Duty |
Even after over 500,000 impacts and more than one million cycles in a severe shock and vibration test the new full metal inductive sensors from ifm operate reliably. This has been proven by extensive tests. The special non-stick coating of the high-grade stainless steel housing allows weld spatter to roll off and enables easy and quick cleaning. The sensors are the optimum choice for use in the metalworking and automotive industries. Due to the temperature range of up to 85°C even critical temperatures can be handled. Thanks to the lasered type label the sensors can be reliably identified even after many years. The sensing face of stainless steel leads to a longer life of the sensors; downtimes of the machines are reduced. And the full metal housing sensors do not even cost more than the standard sensors. That makes them particularly economical. The M12, M18 and M30 sensors provide sensing ranges of 4, 6 and 12 mm. For the mating newly developed connectors of the "EVW" ecolink series the nut and cable repel weld spatter. Additionally, these special cables are suited for drag chains and torsional movements. The asymmetrically acting vibration protection holds the nut tight in its position, guaranteeing an optimum and permanent seal. The sockets are also fully recyclable.
