Innovative Total Solutions Up to 120 kNm

All-inclusive project solutions from systems suppliers are valued and actively requested by many customers around the world. To meet this demand, Watt Drive is expanding its product range thanks to collaboration with a central European gear manufacturer. This collaboration means that Watt Drive is able to offer the F.. parallel shaft gear unit and the K.. helical bevel gear unit series from 100Nm to 120kNm with many additional options across the range: Conveyor drives with swing base and fluid couplings, agitator gear units with reinforced bearings, extruder gear units ...

Projects in the key industry sectors for Watt Drive, such as conveyor technology, the steel industry, cement industry as well as environmental technology, generally include a wide range of drive units, and the need for a reliable partner as a total solutions provider plays an important role in the awarding of projects.

F.. RX 8.. and K.. RX 8.. series:
The parallel shaft gear units have a 1 - 4 stage design and therefore cover a large reduction range. The thermal power limit of the gear units are between 5.5 kW and max. 445kW.
The helical bevel gear units have a 1 - 3 stage design, covering thermal power limit 14 kW up to 304 kW.
The use of additional fans or oil coolers also increases these values.
There are 11 gear unit sizes per range possible. Gradings see diagram 1.

Solution for conveyor technology:
In conveyor technology, such as with belt conveyors for the cement industry (figure 1), the drives can be fitted with back stop devices, swing base, elastic or fluid couplings.

Design of the gear unit:
The following output shaft designs are possible:
• Solid shaft
• Hollow shaft and
• Hollow shaft with shrink disk

Input shaft versions:
The motor can be attached using an IEC coupling adapter for models IEC 71 - IEC 315. Gear unit designs with a free input shaft for attaching various coupling
types are also possible.

This means that the benefits of the comprehensive Watt MAS modular range of motors can be utilised in customised solutions. This combination produces a powerful and flexible drive system with high quality levels.
