BECKHOFF - Control cabinet Industrial PC series C63xx-0030 and C63xx-0040

The C63xx series of Industrial PCs has been designed for control cabinet installation. The Industrial PCs of this series and the Beckhoff Control Panels with DVI and USB connection as operating unit make an ideal combination, representing a powerful platform for machine construction and plant engineering applications, for example with the TwinCAT automation software under Windows XP Embedded or Windows XP Professional.

From version C63xx-0030 a Beckhoff Slot Motherboard is used, the hard disk can be pulled out upwards, and a new 24 V power supply unit features a UPS output that can be used to supply a Control Panel.

The C63xx control cabinet PC range is equipped with the Beckhoff CB2050 Slot Motherboard for Intel® Celeron® M or Pentium® M. Soon the CB2051 motherboard will also be available. The C63xx range thus achieves the highest performance class with Intel® Core™ Duo and Core™2 Duo.

One or three free PCI slots are available. A graphic adapter and two Ethernet adapters are available on-board without occupying a slot. A fan at the cover of the PC provides cooling for high-performance PCI plug-in cards. From version C63xx-0030 the cover-mounted fan is connected via terminal contacts, so that the cover of the PC can be removed without having to unplug a cable connector. For maintenance purposes, the internal chassis can be removed from the external housing. Once removed, the internal chassis is still fully operational as a PC and can be operated with a standard USB keyboard and a standard DVI display.

In the new PC range the hard disk is located at the front on the left and can be pulled out from above once the cover has been opened. C6330, C6335 and C6350 offer an additional CD/DVD-ROM or multi DVD 4.7 GB drive, although they are only 14 mm wider than the C6320, C6325, and C6340.

The new integrated 24 V DC power supply unit has a UPS output that is supplied by the rechargeable battery and continues to be active after a power failure. A Control Panel can be connected here. The PC therefore remains active after a failure of the supply voltage. Data can be saved and open files can be closed before the PC is safely shut down.

The C6325 and C6335 enable fanless operation up to 45 °C. The use of a Compact Flash instead of a hard disk in the C6325 creates a PC without moving parts.

All new features are also implemented in the CP63xx Panel PC range. The display in the front of the Panel PC is supplied from the UPS. The Panel PC remains active after failure of the supply voltage.
