New RLG28 Retro-Reflective Area Sensor for Reliable Object Detection

With a total of six light beams, the new RLG28 retro-reflective area sensor generates a constant 60 mm detection field over a sensing range of 0 ... 4 m.
This complete solution offers a resolution of 12 mm and is designed for situations where single-beam retro-reflective sensors reach their limitations or expensive light grids are needed.
Housed in a standard photoelectric sensor housing, the RLG28 is mechanically and electrically compatible with all common photoelectric sensors available on the market. Users with detection problems receive assistance quickly, without complications, and more importantly without changing the control concept.
The sensors are used primarily for the reliable detection of the front edges of objects, as well as the consistent detection of different objects with no defined shape or position, such as pallets, bags, deformed blocks, etc.
Introducing a first-rate photoelectric sensor
- Retro-reflective area sensor with 6 light beams in a standard photoelectric sensor housing
- Connection compatibility makes it easy to replace single-beam photoelectric sensors, i.e., mechanical and electrical
- Reliable detection of the front edge of the object regardless of its shape and position
- Constant detection of objects as small as 12 mm within the entire detection area
- Reliable detection of all objects regardless of the surface texture
- Use in low temperature ranges to -30 °C
