Pilz: CE Marking for non EU members...

...not without an authorised representative!

Did you know you that a machine builder outside the EU must authorise a person, established in the Community to deal with the procedures prescribed by the Directives?

Since the New Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC the machine manufacturer is responsible that his machine meets the essential requirements and that the conformity assessment procedures prescribed by the New Machinery Directive are followed. It is a new requirement that companies not located in the EU who wish to export or sell their machine must designate a person established in the EU to compile the legally required documents. If you are a machine exporter you may need the help of a European business representative who deals with technical and legal problems on your behalf.

As machinery safety experts we can help you to plan and implement the relevant conformity assessment procedures. This includes compilation of the safety instructions and other technical documents. You can nominate Pilz as your "authorised representative", who takes responsibility for the administrative procedures required by the directive.
