With a 15-million-Euro-investment Turck sets the course for the future

The Turck-group invests about 15 million Euros into a new production facility at the site in Halver. The building is expected to be finished in the spring of 2012 and it extends the capacities of the specialist for automation technology in Halver about 11.000 square meters production area and about 1.100 square meters office space. Together with the existing buildings at the Kirchlöher Weg, the family business then covers a production area of 26.000 square meters all in all.
The new construction is going to be erected on an area of 18.500 square meters, directly next to the already existing production area. On 33.000 square meters, Turck has centralized all activities of production in Halver in close proximity. Everything is within easy walking distance which is the best precondition for efficient internal logistics.
“With the new building at the Kirchlöher Weg in Halver, we set the course for the future“, founder of the company, Werner Turck, comments the investment. “As a company that develops and produces the majority of our products in Germany, we only can persist if we have efficient development, production and logistics. With the new building, we can guarantee all this for the future. “
Within the Turck group, the Werner Turck GmbH & Co. KG with their headquarters in Halver is responsible for the development and production, next to a second location in Beierfeld in the Erzgebirge. Further production sites can be found in the USA, Switzerland, Mexico and China. The Hans Turck GmbH & Co. KG with their headquarters in Mülheim an der Ruhr is the main office for sales and marketing of the global acting Turck group.
