Danfoss Power Electronics will expand office facilities in Graasten, Denmark

15-Nov-2010

An office building to accommodate 300 work places is being planned at Danfoss Power Electronics, Graasten, Denmark.

The office facilities in Graasten are now too small to accommodate the number of employees needed to continue the strong growth in all of Power Electronics’ businesses. Additional space for sales, marketing and product development is needed.

Therefore, a new office building in Graasten is on the drawing board. The building will have room for 300 employees and will be ready by mid 2012. Details concerning the location and construction of the building on the Danfoss premises in Graasten are being discussed with the authorities.

Danfoss Power Electronics in Graasten is a center with both extensive power electronics know-how and many competencies within frequency converters and solar inverters. Danfoss in Graasten has about 1,250 employees in production, sales/marketing and product development, and administrative functions. It is also one of Danfoss Power Electronics’ three headquarters. The other headquarters are in the USA and China.

“We experience an increasing demand for energy-efficient products for the industry as well as for renewable energy solutions. Sales of frequency converters and solar inverters are growing rapidly. We therefore need to extend our facilities in order to remain a leading and strong competence center in power electronics and, so, ensure growth and earnings target of the division that have been determined in the new strategy of the Danfoss Group,” says Troels Petersen, President Danfoss Power Electronics.
