The new Intel® Core™ i3, Core™ i5 and Core™ i7 processors of the second generation are making inroads into the Industrial PC-based control technology. The graphics processor with improved performance was integrated in the CPU. The benefits of multi-core processors can be utilised particularly well in conjunction with TwinCAT 3, the latest version of the Beckhoff automation software.
