Baldor is introducing the new PG6000 industrial portable generator designed and engineered to deliver an unbeatable combination of “clean power” and performance. The new Baldor PG6000 produces a continuous rating output of 5300 watts with a maximum output rating of 5700 watts. Powered by an 11hp Honda overhead valve engine, the unit can run continuously at full load for 4 hours on a single tank of gasoline and 7 hours at half-load. “The PG6000 was designed specifically for those Offices and Businesses that need to keep equipment and business systems operational in the event of a power loss from the main utility line. Low harmonics from products producing electrical power are essential for operating computers and general office equipment as well as electronic test equipment in the shop,” said Roddy Yates, Baldor Generators Marketing Manager. “Non-linear loads such as personal computers, office equipment, variable frequency drives, and solid-state electronics use switch mode power supplies to generate DC voltage, causing harmonic currents that are out of phase with voltage. These harmonics distort voltage waveforms, and can cause overheating and perhaps nuisance tripping. A better power quality (< 4% harmonics on the PG6000) is what makes this unit an ideal Office and Business power source for non-linear loads. There is very little harmonics being added by the genset to that already produced by the electronic equipment.” Baldor has been a trusted name in energy efficient electric motors, industrial drives and generator solutions since 1920, providing total system and customer solutions such as the new PG6000 low harmonic generator. Baldor generators offer superior quality and field proven reliability that will keep your business equipment performing when needed most.
