Rugged EtherNet/IP modules are for direct mounting in demanding environments

In order to provide EtherNet/IP I/O solutions for harsh environments, Beckhoff Automation has announced the new IL230x-B905 Fieldbus Box modules for EtherNet/IP.

After successfully implementing EtherNet/IP in the in-cabinet IP 20 I/O world with the award-winning BK9105 Bus Coupler, Beckhoff now also offers a solution for more severe operating conditions via the IL230x-B905 modules. The modules include four 24 V DC inputs and four outputs.

Beckhoff’s fully-sealed and rugged Fieldbus Box product line is ideal for mounting on machines and anywhere moisture and dust resistant IP 67 I/O is needed outside of a cabinet. These robust fieldbus modules are equipped with Ø8, M8 or M12 signal connections.

With the addition of the new IL230x-B905 modules into the Fieldbus Box family, EtherNet/IP users can now benefit from one of the most comprehensive IP 67 fieldbus product offerings available. The open Fieldbus Box I/O family from Beckhoff supports three Industrial Ethernet variants: EtherCAT, Ethernet TCP/IP, and most recently, EtherNet/IP.

A standardized d-coded M12 socket connects other EtherNet/IP devices and the Fieldbus Box, forming a secure connection system that has been tried and tested in industry. Connecton to the IP 67 Fieldbus box is achieved via coded cables and connectors, allowing easy installation and service in the field. Up to 120 Extension Box modules can be connected via the integrated IP-Link connection. In addition to digital input, output and combined boxes, analog and special signals are also available.
