TwinCAT PLC automation software training program sessions have been held recently at Beckhoff Automation Malaysia Training Centre in Petaling Jaya. This maiden training program covered over 4 days starting from November 9^thto November 12^th 2010. Mr. Harshad, a qualified trainer from Beckhoff India with vast experiences in the automation industries and also with Beckhoff product solutions conducted this program to 16 participants. The participants came as far from Penang and Malacca to attend this training. Generally all the participants are from reputable Original Equipment Manufacturers and System Integrators organisations.

All participants experienced four full ‘fun’ days of theory and practical hands on training with the latest Beckhoff Embedded PC products training kits. Each training kit station can accommodate two participants. This course also entails the EtherCAT fieldbus communication which has been the fastest fieldbus communication inception since the year 2003. Participants were also guided to work on PLC sample programs in TwinCAT software conforming to IEC61131-3 standards. The written PLC training programs can connect to Profibus communication and as a matter of fact, Beckhoff products have the ability to communicate with ease with more than 20 international fieldbus communications. Participants’ PLC programs are able to link and run their PLC programs to TwinCAT HMI visualisation in a matter of seconds. On the last day, participants were presented with Beckhoff Servo Drives enabling EtherCAT communication with their respective PLC programs developed earlier.
