ifm efector introduces a hardened PLC platform specifically designed for mobile vehicle applications. The R360 Classic Controller can withstand high levels of shock and vibration, EMI, and temperature extremes. There are no mechanical contacts that can wear or break, and special enclosures are not required.

The R360 Classic Controller offers flexible configuration of input and output functions. Each controller is equipped with two CAN interfaces. A freely programmable CAN gateway can be implemented for coupling different networks.

The controller supports most bus protocols that enables easy exchange of SAE J1939 and CANopen data. A user can easily integrate all functions in the application program via programming to IEC 61131-3.

• Inputs for analog, digital, diagnostic and pulse signals
• Digital, PWM or current-controlled outputs, H-bridge function
• Freely programmable to IEC 61131-3
