ADLINK Unveils a Rich Assortment of New Embedded Products at Embedded World 2008

ADLINK Technology Inc. announces its latest embedded computing platforms based on revolutionary Intel® multi-core technology at embedded world 2008, Nuremburg, Germany. These products are designed to provide powerful performance coupled with energy efficiency to meet the stringent demands of telecoms, medical, military, industrial automation, and measurement applications.

Taking center stage is ADLINK's new AdvancedTCA® (ATCA) processor blade, the aTCA-6900, supporting two Intel® dual-core processors and the very latest Intel® chipsets. This breakthrough ATCA blade supports two 24-port 10 Gb fabric interface channels and two AMC bays. The aTCA-6900 is designed for applications requiring high bandwidth, high performance, and high availability. Other ATCA products being introduced include the aTCA-3400 20-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet fabric interface switch which includes 12 node ports, PICMG® 3.1 option 9, and up to eight egress ports via its AMC modules. Being one of the few embedded vendors to embrace these technologies, ADLINK's 10 GbE ATCA solutions offer equipment manufacturers ample I/O throughput and real reductions in research and development costs.

Stephen Huang, Vice President of ADLINK's Industrial Computer Product Segment, states that "the aTCA-6900 utilizes the latest advanced server-class CPU and chipset from Intel. With Intel's latest dual-core technology inside, the aTCA-6900 is designed to be an extremely powerful ATCA computing blade with a large memory space and advanced storage interface. With on-board AMC sites, the aTCA-6900 can be further scaled with DSP-based multimedia processing boards. The aTCA-6900 provides a very high capacity solution to significantly benefit IP multimedia subsystem and next generation network system integrators."

Also at embedded world 2008, ADLINK will showcase a series boards and modules utilizing Intel® Core™2 Duo and Core™2 Quad processor technologies. The available form factors include CompactPCI®, PICMG® 1.3/1.2/1.0 single board computers, ATX, microATX, and the extremely popular mini-ITX boards. As part of our commitment to embedded computing, ADLINK has taken special interest in developing a broader array of mini-ITX products to better serve our customers. Two mini-ITX motherboards will be available for demonstration at the ADLINK showroom. The first is the MI-960 - a low-power, cost-effective mini-ITX motherboard supporting mobile Intel® Core™2 Duo and Intel® Celeron® M processors in 478-pin micro-FCPGA packages with the Intel® GME965 chipset. The second offering is the MI-965 with its innovative technology and superior price-performance ratio. The MI-965 supports Intel® Core™2 Quad, Intel® Core™2 Duo, Intel® Pentium® D, and Intel® Pentium® 4 processors in LGA775 packages with the Intel® Q965 chipset. All ADLINK boards are specifically designed for long product lifecycle embedded applications and have the advantages of time-to-market, scalability, and upgradeability.

With regards to ADLINK's Computer-on-Module products, our latest ETX® module, the ETX-NR667 is based on Intel® Core™2 Duo processor technology and the Intel® Mobile 945GM Express chipset providing an excellent performance per watt rating with the advantage of high-end graphics chips. ADLINK also offers COM Express and ETX® starter kits to jump start carrier board design and software verification for system integrators. All generic PC functions are readily available on these off-the-shelf compact modules allowing system developers to focus on their core competencies and the unique functions of the application.
