Balluff Introduces New Compact Sensor for C-Slot Pneumatic Cylinders

Balluff has introduced a new compact sensor especially designed for use with C-slot-equipped pneumatic cylinders.

Today, sensor installation from above into a standard C-slot is more and more a requirement for fast, simple installation. The Balluff BMF 273 offers reliable sensing characteristics and a wide range of sensing performance.

The BMF 273 sensor, designed to indicate piston stroke end position, is just 25.7mm long, and fits completely within a standard C-slot. The BMF 273 is secured by a non-stripping screw, while the cable is also equipped to be secured within the C-slot by a custom-designed mini pop-in fastener. The highly accurate, low hysteresis sensor, designed to replace outmoded Reed and Hall-Effect switches, comes with an LED indicator light and uses advanced magnetoresistive technology.
