By addressing selected key industries through specialized units, FlexLink takes a further step in offering world leading production logistics solutions.

FlexLink are reinforcing its offering within specific industries with Strategic Business Units (SBUs) taking the full responsibility from sales to engineering and after sales services, globally. The new SBUs for medical devices, electronics and tissue industries are operational from January 1st, 2011.

The global industry approach lead to specialized and standardized solutions to the respective industry and leads to a high and uniform quality level, reduced costs and improved service level.

The industries to be served and the respective SBUs are:

For the medical devices industries, Compliant Logistics AB has been merged into the new SBU Life Sciences with resources in Gothenburg, Sweden, Allentown (PA), USA and Bologna, Italy. The unit is headed by Joakim Sundberg, previous MD of Compliant Logistics AB.

For household tissue products, the SBU Tissue has been established. The SBU Tissue consists of resources from FlexLink’s tissue specialists in Appleton (WI), USA, Gothenburg, Sweden and Bologna, Italy. The unit is led by Nicolas LePivert, previously Project Manager, FlexLink Systems SAS.

A complete offering for the handling of printed circuit boardswithin the electronics industry is primarily used within the EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) and OEMs. The SBU name will be e-cube following the acquisition of e-cube International S.r.l. in July 2010. The unit is led by Luca Lorandi, previous owner of e-cube International and consists of resources based in Bologna, Italy, and in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
