Danfoss moves activities to Bruchsal, Germany

28-Dec-2010

Danfoss combines its business activities for the Food & Beverage industry in Bruchsal, Germany.

The business that develops, produces and sells frequency converter solutions is currently undertaken across three sites. Now the business is moving its activities to one site in Bruchsal.

At present, OneGearDrives, which are special gearmotors for hygiene-sensitive areas, are being mounted at Danfoss Bauer in Esslingen, Germany. Meanwhile servo drives are being produced in Tørsbøl, Denmark, and development capacity is run from Karlsruhe, Germany.

Danfoss has now rented 900m² of office space in the Bruchsal Industrial Park, and 1,000m² for assembly, stocks and laboratories, with the potential for further expansion.

Bruchsal will become a competence center with management, product development, product management and final assembly. The relocation is to be completed by the third quarter of 2011. At first, about 20 employees will start working in Bruchsal, but that number will probably be doubled by the end of 2011.
