World’s First Mini-Submersibles Feature Danfoss Solutions |
Dutch company, U-Boat Worx, has produced the world’s first safe and affordable one and two-person mini-submersible – and a three-person model is on the way. And of course, Danfoss’ high quality products are helping keep the pilots and passengers safe and comfortable. Safety a top priority for consumer submersibles In their search for component parts to meet tough safety requirements, U-Boat Worx contacted Danfoss for advice on pressure transmitters. The advice paid off for both parties. And Danfoss now supplies U-Boat Worx with pressure sensors, temperature sensors and compressors. The MBS 3100 pressure sensors help maintain one bar atmospheric pressure in the submersible’s cabin throughout the dive, so there’s no danger of decompression. Both C-Quester models feature air-conditioning and air-purification systems as standard. And Danfoss’ compact BD250GH compressors help control the temperature and humidity in the cabin. Extremely quiet under operation, the compressors allow the pilot and passenger to enjoy the underwater experience in near silence. And like many Danfoss products, the compressors have proven efficient and reliable under extreme conditions. Danfoss temperature sensors are currently being put to the test in the forthcoming three-person C-Quester, where they monitor heat in the battery compartment. This larger model is scheduled to launch at the end of the year. With Danfoss’ reliable, high quality products and great technical support, the C-Quester is setting the standard for semi-submersible safety.
