Moxa's EDS-728 Modular Ethernet Switch Receives 2008 Good Design Awards |
|
Moxa is pleased to announce that in addition to the coveted red dot award, the EDS-728 modular Gigabit Ethernet switch has received a "Good Design Award." In total, 3,023 entries were considered for this year's award. While screening the entries for the 2008 Good Design Awards, judges put emphasis on the perspective of people who use the products and receive the services concerned. Receiving these two significant international awards validates the customer-oriented and attention-to-detail philosophy followed by the EDS-728 design team. The Good Design Award, which was introduced in 1957 by the former Ministry of International Trade and Industry as the Good Design Selection System and is popularly referred to as the G-Mark System, is the only comprehensive design award in Japan. The judges look well beyond the appearance of products, but also consider a product's influence on industry as well as its ability to enrich society as a whole. The EDS-728 is an industrial-grade Ethernet switch from Moxa that features a versatile modular platform supporting up to 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 24 fast Ethernet ports to provide a high degree of flexibility for network expansion. Top network performance, security, and reliability is assured through the EDS-728's advanced management features, including QoS, IGMP snooping/GMRP, VLAN, LACP, SNMP V1/V2c/V3, and RMON.
