Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division, known for award-winning, high-quality, high-definition presentation and display products, today announced the appointment of Akihiro “AK” Kambara as vice president of its Presentation Products Division, managing all marketing and sales activities for its projectors, data walls and flat panel LCD display products in the United States and Central America.

As vice president, Mr. Kambara is tasked with increasing market share and profitability by capitalizing on Mitsubishi Electric’s technological advances, product excellence, market leadership and growing business potential. He will also nurture strategic business relationships with companies to stimulate positive growth overall.
“I’m looking forward to expanding my professional and personal experiences here in America,” said Mr. Kambara. “I’m committed to applying my sales and marketing expertise to continue our leadership position and bring exciting new Mitsubishi products to market.”

Mr. Kambara joined Mitsubishi Electric in 1989, working in display monitor products sales and marketing at its headquarters in Kyoto. He then spent eight years with Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America on sales and marketing of its LCD and CRT monitors. He expanded his career as a projector marketing manager with Mitsubishi Electric Europe for two years, moving back to Kyoto in 2006 as projection marketing manager until this year.

Mr. Kambara holds a degree from Chuo University in Tokyo, Japan and has studied business administration and commerce.
