EKI-7656C Receives 'Top 10 Innovative Products' Award |
|
Advantech's Gigabit Managed Redundant Industrial Ethernet Switch, EKI-7656C, has had the honor to receive the 2008 "Top 10 Innovative Products" award from China's Automation Industry, held by MM (MASCHINENMARKT) China Magazine and the China International Industry Fair (CIIF) on Nov. 5, 2008. Garnering high praise from industry veterans, EKI-7656C was chosen for its high performance, versatile functionality and outstanding reliability. EKI-7656C combines Advantech's own X-Ring, Dual-Ring and Quad-Ring technologies, and features 16+2G ports (16 x Fast Ethernet ports and 2 x Gigabit fiber optic/ copper combo ports) providing long-distance uplink that transmits important data up to 110km at Gigabit speeds. Advantech's X-Ring architecture promises near-instant redundancy with a recovery time less than 10ms. EKI-7656C also features the Dual Ring technology, allowing it to be a hub for an existing X-Ring, so that users need only one switch to link redundant rings, rather than two. Furthermore, the Quad Ring topology combines 4 adjoining X-Rings into one central switch. This provides centralized management and cost-efficiency to fit industrial networking solutions. As a Gigabit Managed Redundant Switch, the EKI-7656C features advanced management functions, such as IP security, VLAN, QoS, Port Mirroring, MAC Security, IGMP Snooping, Port Trunking, CoS/TOS, Email warnings, SNMP Trap, SMTP and more. For user access control, the EKI-7656C supports port-based IEEE 802.1x user authentication from a centralized RADIUS server. Meanwhile, EKI-7656C comes with an IP30 metal housing and has 3000 VDC surge protection for the power line, plus 4000 VDC ESD protection on the Ethernet ports. The EKI-7656C is a robust Ethernet switch that can handle heavy loading, even in harsh industrial environments.
