MTA2009 will Return in March 2009

Against the backdrop of burgeoning growth in Asia’s manufacturing industry and riding on the success of its last edition in 2007, MTA is poised to make an even greater impact in its 18th edition next year. The region’s premier precision engineering industry event will return to the Singapore Expo from 25 to 28 March 2009.

Worldwide demand for quality machine tool products and solutions is expected to rise 5.2 percent through 2009 to more than US$84 billion dollars, with the Asia-Pacific accounting for almost half of this demand. MTA will play a key role to spearhead this surge in demand by offering international trade buyers and sellers a strategic business platform to converge and engage in business and networking activities, and a comprehensive, one-stop sourcing ground for the latest manufacturing technologies and innovations available in the global market.

The previous edition of MTA in 2007 ended on a high note, having hosted over 860 exhibiting companies from more than 30 countries and regions, attracting over 13,700 visitors from 50 countries and regions.

MTA2009 will offer over 20,000 square metres of exhibition space at the Singapore Expo to host more than 800 exhibiting companies (75% from overseas) from 33 countries and regions. Official group pavilions from China, Czech Republic, Germany, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and The United Kingdom are expected to be present at the event.

MTA2009 will also incorporate MetalAsia2009, MetrologyAsia2009, OutSource&SubCon2009, Automation2009, WeldTech2009 and ToolTec2009, all specialised events that cater to the individual needs of Asia’s manufacturing industry.

Industry professionals who attended the MTA2007 Manufacturing Technology Forum gained valuable insights and shared knowledge with international and regional industry experts on the latest manufacturing trends and industry applications in sectors such as aerospace, electronics, biomedical, automotive and many more. The two-day MTA2009 Precision Engineering Business Forum will be the first in Asia to place an emphasis on the business aspects and potential of precision engineering. It will gather experts from key industries to engage and discuss how precision engineering can and will drive manufacturing investments and technologies.

MTA2009 is proudly supported and endorsed by well-regarded industry agencies and associations from all over the world, including the Singapore Precision Engineering and Tooling Association (SPETA), the German Machine Tool Builders Association (VDW), the Machine Tool Club and many more.
